What is dit?
dit is a presence app. You tap once, and someone you care about sees a single silent dot appear. No words, no conversation — just proof you thought of them.
Is dit a messaging app?
No. There is no text field, so nothing is ever written and nothing is ever stored. A dit carries one thing: you’re here, and someone crossed your mind.
How long does a signal last?
You choose: 1, 6, or 24 hours. When the time runs out the signal expires and disappears. There is no archive and no history to scroll.
What is a dah?
A dah is the reply — one tap that means “i’m here too”. It is the only response dit has. Letting a signal fade is an equally valid answer, and nobody is told you ignored it.
Is dit free?
Yes. dit is free, with no ads and no subscription. It is a personal project, not a business built on your attention.
Which devices does dit run on?
iOS and Android. The Android app is live on Google Play; the iOS version follows.
What does dit know about me?
Almost nothing. There are no words to read, no last seen, no read receipts and no algorithm. Your contacts are yours alone, and nothing is sold or shared.
